Learning is an important process in everyone’s life; no matter if you are young or old, everyone is still learning. There is always something new to learn everyday.
Hence, a learning log is helpful to track how much learning one is attaining each day or week or month. It is a good tool to measure how much new learning is achieved as time goes by. It is a measurement of the handling of your time wisely or otherwise, as you review the learning log to identify the amount of learning attained during the day, week, month or year.
If you notice a lack of learning achieved in a stipulated time frame, you may want to reconsider readjusting your time management or life objectives.
A learning log is easy to design as it is really up to the user to determine the kinds of information you want to place in it, and how you want to interpret the data for some sound decisions at the end of the day.
A learning log template may record the following information:
* User’s name
* Date of learning
* Type of Activity
* Time of learning
* Learning Resources
* Learning points
The learning log need not be very structured as the important point is to identify if learning did take place. However, one must be very honest and objective in the process so that no bias comes about to bring the favored results.
