A Resume cover letter is an important attachment to your resume as you apply for a job. It is a formal piece of document which must be well written as it serves to impress the recipient to view your resume and to grant you at least an interview; if not, the applied job.
Hence, the resume cover letter template should have the job applicant’s full name and mailing address at the top left corner of the letter, followed by the date and then the recipient’s name, title and company name with its full mailing address; all of which should be separated with at least one line spacing.
The cover letter should address the recipient politely with the right salutations and appropriate titles, if any, followed by the reference line stating the objective of the letter.
The body of the letter is very important and must be properly written stating its contents precisely so that the recipient will make a willful decision on your job application through your attached resume. The contents must be impressive and well written with proper grammar and spelling, exuding confidence and professionalism; it should highlight some strong and favorable points of your resume for the recipient to note and favor your application over others.
In general, a resume cover letter template contains the following sections:
* Sender’s information
* Recipient’s information
